Presents galore

So, our birthday girl received: one cherry red tricycle, one pair of rubber puddle-stomping boots, one stuffed alpaca from Peru (named Alejandro), one sweater dress (very in this season), one framed picture of a lion (every birthday has to have the dud gift), two trucks (one red and one yellow) and eight books, all of which she read at least twice. Her aunts all sang her "happy birthday," even including the one that was working in San Francisco today.

Her mother was quite pleased to think it's been two whole years since she was in labor for eleven hours; she woke up with her first contraction around 3 am and the magic hour was 2:21 pm. All the single ladies got very sad faces at that.
