The Queen is cranky

I'm listening to my uncle's compilation CD "Stormy Weather." It's making me feel better than I've felt all day. The port doesn't hurt, either.

There was a gorgeous sunset over Santa Monica this evening; the rain the past few nights washed the smog away. A first year even saw a rainbow over Westwood. Hard to believe.

It's been a horrible few days of avoidance. I have to write a term paper that I'd like to turn into a field paper. It's making me miserable and not capable and cranky. Weekends are the worst. So much time to be productive in and so unlikely to complete anything. At least during the week there are endless little tasks and people to chat with. I miss people a lot lately.
