Lovely Weekend

Ryan and I saw three movies and walked all over Santa Monica this weekend. It was just lovely. (500) Days of Summer, In the Loop and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince were just marvelous, the best movies I've seen in a long time. Well-written, clever and not too long, not even the Harry Potter, which over two hours. That was perfect, better even than the book, since all the long, boring narrative bits where Harry ponders his fate were stripped away, leaving clean, delightful action to carry the story.
